Analogue Revamps Retro Consoles: Super Nt Plus & Mega Sg Plus Arrive

Hey there, retro gaming enthusiasts! Analogue, a company known for its dedication to bringing classic gaming experiences to modern setups, has just announced some exciting updates to its lineup. The Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus are here, building upon the success of their predecessors with a few key enhancements.

Just like the original Super Nt and Mega Sg, these new Plus versions are designed to play original Nintendo and Sega Genesis cartridges. They achieve this using FPGA processors, which meticulously recreate the original hardware's functionality without relying on emulation. This means you get the most authentic 16-bit experience possible, right down to the way the games run.

While these consoles won't be pushing out games in glorious 4K – that's a feature reserved for Analogue's other offerings like the Analogue 3D for N64 titles – the Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus do support 1080p output. A notable addition is the inclusion of a USB-C port, offering more versatile power and connectivity options. The reworked industrial design also gives these beloved machines a fresh, updated look that should fit nicely into any modern entertainment setup.

The built-in wireless connectivity is another significant upgrade, simplifying setup and reducing cable clutter. This allows for a cleaner, more immersive gaming session, whether you're revisiting beloved SNES classics or diving into the world of Sega Genesis.

For those who cherish the tactile feel of original cartridges and controllers, Analogue continues to be a go-to for a premium retro gaming experience. These updated models seem poised to continue that legacy, offering a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern convenience.
