Claude Ends Free Access for Third-Party Tools

Anthropic has officially announced that its standard Claude subscriptions will no longer cover the usage of the AI agent via third-party tools. According to Cherny, as of April 4, anyone accessing Claude's intelligence through third-party software will need to opt for an additional usage bundle or utilize a dedicated Claude API key. While most users interact with Claude through its official interface for simple queries, a dedicated community has been using it via tools like OpenClaw to automate complex personal workflows, such as managing inboxes and organizing calendars.
