Crimson Desert Lacks Intel Arc Support at Launch

Pearl Abyss says Crimson Desert does not support Intel Arc GPUs and suggests refunds for affected buyers. Intel says it repeatedly offered hardware, drivers and engineering help to enable Arc support.
Crimson Desert, the newly released prequel to Black Desert Online, does not support Intel Arc graphics cards at launch, according to a notice on the game's official FAQ page. The developer, Pearl Abyss, advised players expecting Arc support to consult the refund policy of the platform where they purchased the game.
Intel responded to coverage of the issue by saying it has reached out to Pearl Abyss multiple times over several years offering assistance. The chipmaker said it provided early hardware, driver access and engineering resources across several GPU generations — including Alchemist, Battlemage, Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake — to help test, validate and optimize support for Intel graphics.
Intel said it was disappointed that players using Intel graphics hardware cannot run the game, and reiterated that it remains available to assist Pearl Abyss. The company also suggested that players contact the developer directly for details about the decision not to enable Intel Arc support at launch.
Pearl Abyss is not contractually obliged to add support for a particular GPU brand. From the consumer perspective, the timing of the announcement may make refunds more straightforward: Steam, where Crimson Desert is currently among the top sellers, allows refunds within two weeks of purchase under its standard policy.
The situation highlights compatibility questions that can affect newly released PC titles. Players who are uncertain about hardware compatibility are advised to check official support lists and refund windows before purchasing. For now, users with Intel Arc GPUs who own Crimson Desert will need to follow the developer's guidance on refunds or await any future updates that may add support.
