Fairphone Launches Repairable Fairbuds 2 with Longer Battery Life

Fairphone, the brand known for its commitment to ethical sourcing and repairable devices, has just released its latest audio accessory: the Fairbuds 2. Following up on the success of their first-generation earbuds, the Fairbuds 2 are set to impress with significant upgrades in both sound performance and battery endurance. Valued readers of our tech blog, you know how important it is to have gadgets that last and can be fixed when they falter.

The Fairbuds 2 boast a completely redesigned aesthetic, moving to a more modern stemmed design. They will be available in stylish black and green color options. Even more impressively, the charging case has been slimmed down by 37 percent compared to the original model. Despite the smaller hardware footprint, Fairphone has managed to nearly double the battery life of the earbuds themselves. Users can now expect up to 40 hours of total playback time without active noise cancellation, a substantial leap forward.

For those in the UK and Europe, the Fairbuds 2 are available starting today at a price of £99 / €119. A US launch is slated for November 2nd, with the earbuds priced at $119. This move by Fairphone continues their mission to provide consumers with technology that is not only high-performing but also built with sustainability and longevity in mind. It's great to see companies prioritizing repairability, making it easier for us to keep our tech running longer and reducing electronic waste.
