High Schoolers Race Solar-Powered Cars in Texas

Get ready for a different kind of road race! On July 19th, dozens of high school teams will embark on a challenging five-day, 630-mile journey from Fort Worth to Fort Stockton, Texas. This isn't your average automotive competition; these students are the masterminds behind their unique vehicles, designing and constructing them from scratch using readily available parts and even 3D-printed components.

The ultimate goal? To accumulate the most miles driven. And the only energy source powering these impressively engineered, albeit sometimes Frankenstein-esque, creations is the sun.
