Jason Statham's 'Mutiny' Leaks on Amazon Prime Video

Jason Statham's upcoming film 'Mutiny,' slated for theatrical release, was briefly available to stream in its entirety on Amazon Prime Video in the US. The movie has since been removed from the platform.
This is quite the surprise for fans of action star Jason Statham. His upcoming movie, 'Mutiny,' which is officially scheduled to hit theaters on August 21st, was unexpectedly available to stream in full on the US version of Amazon Prime Video earlier today. For about an hour, viewers could apparently watch the entire 1 hour and 35 minutes of the film.
My colleague, Dominic Preston, managed to confirm that the movie was indeed accessible on Amazon's streaming service. However, it seems the digital genie is back in the bottle, as the film is now listed as 'unavailable.' This accidental leak doesn't appear to be an intentional marketing ploy. Neither the film's official website nor its promotional materials suggest any plans for a simultaneous Prime Video release, emphasizing its theatrical debut.
It's unclear how this significant oversight occurred. Was it a technical glitch, a human error in scheduling, or something else entirely? Whatever the reason, it's a rather unusual situation for a major studio film to briefly appear on a streaming platform before its theatrical run. We'll have to wait and see if Amazon or the film's distributors offer any explanation for this peculiar 'leak.' For now, it seems the intended way to watch 'Mutiny' is still the good old-fashioned cinema experience.
