For those new to the Pikmin universe, Pikmin 4 continues the charming puzzle-strategy formula that fans have come to adore. This latest installment introduces a loyal dog companion, adding an extra layer of complexity and action to your expeditions. It also delves deeper into the intriguing, darker undertones that were only hinted at in previous games, offering a richer narrative experience.

Adding to the excitement, Nintendo recently announced a Switch 2 version of Pikmin 4, set to launch on November 12th, 2026. This upcoming version promises polished visuals, voice commands for your canine pal, and a new 'Dandori Academy' mode packed with extra challenges. The best part? You'll be able to upgrade your current digital purchase to this enhanced version for a mere $10, effectively saving you $20 compared to buying the $69.99 Switch 2 Edition directly.
