Space Marine 2, one of Engadget’s picks among the best games of 2024, brings third-person action in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It leans into co-op and squad-based combat, echoing the feel of cover shooters like Gears of War but drenched in Games Workshop’s grimdark aesthetic. For players who enjoy heavy weapons, brutal encounters and narrative hooks tied to a larger franchise, it’s a solid pick to try with friends.

Persona 5 Royal remains a standout JRPG thanks to its refined systems, expanded story beats and character-driven social simulation elements. Whether you’re returning to study its new content or jumping into the series for the first time, the Royal edition is praised for balancing accessibility and depth—complete with its unique blend of high-school life and metaphysical dungeon-crawling.
