Razer has quietly updated its 16-inch Blade laptop with more modern internals, swapping its previous Ryzen options for Intel's new Core Ultra processors and packing up to 64GB of LPDDR5X‑9600 RAM. The refreshed Blade 16 aims to sit between Razer's compact 14-inch model and the larger 18-inch behemoth by offering a thin chassis with stronger performance.

The 2026 Blade 16 keeps the same 16-inch QHD+ OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate as last year's model, but Razer says the display is now about 100 nits brighter. At its thinnest point the laptop measures roughly 0.59 inches (14.9mm). Port selection remains generous for a thin machine, with three USB‑A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, Thunderbolt 4 and 5 ports, a full‑sized HDMI 2.1 connector and a UHS‑II SD card reader.

The headline change is the move to Intel Core Ultra 9 386H silicon. These chips are among Intel's first made on the newer 18A node and include a built‑in NPU Razer says can deliver up to 50 TOPS — features that map to on‑device AI tasks like image generation and live translation. Razer positions the new Blade 16 as a Copilot+PC-ready machine, and the efficiency gains from the platform help the laptop reach up to about 15 hours of battery life in lighter workloads.

For gamers and creators who need dedicated graphics, the Blade 16 pairs Intel's CPUs with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs. The base configuration starts at $3,500 and includes a GeForce RTX 5080, 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, with higher‑end SKUs offering up to 64GB of the faster LPDDR5X‑9600 memory.

Razer's upgrades reflect the wider pressure on PC pricing from faster, costlier memory and storage components. If you're in the market for a compact 16‑inch Windows machine with modern AI capabilities and plenty of GPU muscle, the Blade 16 is available to order now from Razer's website.
