Samsung Hikes Prices for Galaxy Z Flip 7 and S25 Series

Samsung is adjusting the pricing for its high-end Galaxy lineup, with higher storage configurations seeing price jumps of up to $80.
It looks like getting that extra storage on your next Samsung device is going to cost you a bit more than you bargained for. Recent reports suggest that Samsung is raising prices across several of its key mobile lines, specifically targeting the variants with higher storage and RAM capacities. While the base models seem to be holding steady for now, power users who need the extra room for photos, apps, and files will feel the pinch.
According to data spotted by industry insiders, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (512GB) is seeing a jump from $1,219.99 to $1,299.99. It’s not just the foldables, either. The Galaxy S25 FE (256GB) is expected to rise by about $40, while the Galaxy S25 Edge (512GB) is also hitting that $1,299.99 mark. This follows a similar trend seen last week with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, where the massive 1TB model surged toward the $2,500 threshold. It appears Samsung is trying to balance the increasing costs of high-density NAND flash and RAM components by passing some of that weight onto the consumer.
The price adjustments aren't limited to smartphones. Samsung’s tablet lineup, including the upcoming Tab S11 Ultra and the Tab S10 FE, are also rumored to be part of this pricing reshuffle. For many tech enthusiasts, this might feel like a "storage tax." By keeping the entry-level price the same, Samsung can still market a competitive starting price, but the reality is that as apps and media get larger, the base storage is becoming less viable for many users.
We have seen similar moves from other tech giants recently, often citing supply chain volatility and the rising cost of advanced chipsets. Whether this will impact Samsung's dominant market share remains to be seen, but it certainly makes the decision between cloud storage and local storage a much tougher one for the average buyer.
