Amazon’s Big Spring Sale has surfaced a neat audio deal: Sonos Ace over‑ear headphones are discounted to $299 from $399 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Sonos’ online store. If you’re hunting for noise‑canceling cans that pair solid sound with smart TV features, these are worth a look.

The Sonos Ace arrived amid the company’s app troubles, which muted some of the initial buzz. That’s unfortunate because they’re a well‑made pair of headphones with rich, detailed sound and comfortable, swappable ear pads. In listening tests they sit comfortably alongside offerings from Bose and Apple, with a transparency mode that sounds natural and useful for quick awareness of the environment.

There are trade‑offs. The Ace can’t stream music over Wi‑Fi or join Sonos speaker groups — they do support wired audio over USB‑C, though. Where they really shine is TV Audio Swap, which lets you transfer audio from a Sonos soundbar (Arc, Ray, Beam) to one or two pairs of Ace with a button press. That feature, plus the ability to enable spatial audio and head tracking via the Sonos app, makes them particularly attractive for movie nights and late‑hour gaming.

If you’re already invested in Sonos speakers, the Ace become an easy add for private listening without introducing noticeable lag. For everyone else, consider whether the lack of Wi‑Fi streaming and speaker grouping is a dealbreaker. At $299, they feel like a smart buy for anyone prioritizing TV audio features and comfortable, high‑quality sound.
