Basketball legend Stephen Curry is no stranger to the tech world, but his latest collaboration with Google is taking things to a whole new level. Last year, Curry officially stepped into the role of "Performance Advisor" at Google as part of a multi-year partnership, and it looks like we are finally about to see the first tangible fruit of that union. In a recently posted Instagram reel, Curry gave us a tantalizing glimpse of what seems to be a brand-new wearable device.

The 15-second clip features quick shots of Curry on the court, but the real star of the show is the gray-and-orange band wrapped around his left wrist. The teaser doesn't show a traditional screen, leading many to believe this might be a minimalist, sensor-heavy device designed for high-performance athletes. The video concludes with the message, "A new relationship with your health coming soon," followed by the iconic Google logo.

When reached for comment, Google didn't give away too many secrets but did confirm the project, stating, "Our Performance Advisor has been working with the team to cook up something special. More to share soon." This "something special" appears to be a direct competitor to high-end fitness trackers like Whoop, which have gained massive popularity among professional athletes for their deep recovery and strain analytics.

Curry himself sounds incredibly hyped about the project. In the video's voiceover, he mentions being excited about what this means for the world of health and wellness, calling it "the first of its kind in a way." While technical specs remain under wraps, it's a safe bet that Google’s advanced AI capabilities will play a major role in how the device interprets data. Whether it's integrated with the Fitbit ecosystem or a entirely new branch of Google hardware, it’s clear that the search giant is ready to get serious about specialized performance tracking.
