Tesla fans have been asking for a family-sized hauler for years, often suggesting a sleek electric minivan. However, Elon Musk, known for his unconventional approach to vehicle design, has recently stirred the pot by claiming that Tesla is working on something "way cooler than a minivan." This has immediately sparked rumors of a potential "CyberSUV" that could bring the aggressive, angular aesthetic of the Cybertruck to a more practical family format.

While the minivan segment has seen a bit of a revival lately with electric models like the VW ID. Buzz, Musk seems uninterested in following the status quo. During a recent interaction, he hinted that the company’s focus is on creating a vehicle that breaks the mold of traditional passenger carriers. If the Cybertruck is any indication, this new project will likely feature stainless steel, bold lines, and tech-heavy interiors that look more like a spaceship than a grocery getter.

The idea of a CyberSUV makes a lot of strategic sense for Tesla. The Model X, while capable, remains expensive and features complex Falcon Wing doors that have been a point of contention for some owners. A rugged, simpler, and more futuristic SUV could bridge the gap between the utilitarian Cybertruck and the premium Model X, offering a high-capacity vehicle for families who find the Cybertruck a bit too massive for the suburbs.

Of course, with Musk, timelines are always a bit fluid. Whether this project is a near-term reality or a long-term vision remains to be seen. However, the prospect of a vehicle that combines the durability of the "Cyber" brand with the utility of a family SUV is enough to keep the tech world talking. Stay tuned, as Tesla's next move might just make the traditional minivan look like a relic of the past.
