Uber has quietly rolled out Uber Elite, a new invite‑only premium tier that aims to deliver a more upscale ground‑transport experience. Targeted at executives, frequent travelers and riders who want extra polish, the offering feels like Uber Black with an elevated concierge layer.

Rides booked as Uber Elite are driven by professional chauffeurs in luxury cars no older than three years. The package includes small but deliberate touches: onboard chargers, bottled water, mints and premium hand wipes. Riders can also request sparkling water or champagne ahead of time through the app, and Uber says it will coordinate with drivers and partners to accommodate those requests when feasible.

One notable feature is an Elite‑only “Meet and Greet” option for airport pickups. Riders can arrange to be met inside the terminal or at baggage claim, where a chauffeur will be waiting — a convenience geared toward business travelers and people arriving on tight schedules.

Booking flexibility is similar to other premium Uber products: trips can be reserved as little as one hour before pickup or scheduled up to 90 days in advance. Uber Elite is available in the Uber app, via Uber Reserve and on Uber for Business, and it comes with round‑the‑clock phone support for booked rides.

Initially the program is launching in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with New York and additional U.S. and international cities to follow. Invitations are first being offered to frequent Uber Black and Uber for Business customers, with a waitlist open for interested riders.

The move signals Uber’s intent to further segment its rider base, catering to those willing to pay for a higher level of service and reliability while keeping most logistical details inside the app.
