Govee has introduced its first solar-powered outdoor string lights, featuring eight color-changing bulbs and a 6W solar panel with an integrated rechargeable battery. These lights offer a sustainable lighting solution for outdoor spaces.
Govee is stepping into the sustainable lighting arena with the launch of its first-ever solar-powered outdoor string lights. This new offering aims to bring vibrant illumination to your backyard without the hassle of cords or the worry of energy consumption.
At the heart of these lights is a robust 6W solar panel, which comes with an integrated 4,800mAh rechargeable battery. Govee claims that a single full day of direct sunlight is enough to fully charge the battery. For those cloudy days or when you need a quick top-up, the panel also supports USB-C charging, offering flexibility and convenience.
The Govee Outdoor Solar String Lights are now available for purchase on Govee's official online store and Amazon, priced at $99.99. The set includes eight bulbs, each capable of changing colors, spread across a 34-foot cable. This length should be ample for illuminating patios, balconies, or garden pathways.
When fully charged, Govee states that the bulbs can last for up to 13 hours. However, this impressive runtime is achieved when the brightness is set to a lower level, around 10 lumens. For those who prefer a brighter ambiance, the bulbs can reach up to 50 lumens, though this will naturally impact the battery life.
This move by Govee into solar-powered outdoor lighting aligns with a growing consumer interest in eco-friendly and energy-efficient home solutions. It offers a practical way to enhance outdoor aesthetics while minimizing environmental impact and electricity costs.
