Honor is back with its latest smartphone offerings, the Honor 600 and 600 Pro. While Honor is billing these as "accessible flagships," the most striking thing about them is how familiar they look, especially the Pro model. It seems Honor might be taking some design cues from a rather well-known competitor.

The Honor 600 Pro’s triple rear camera and flash arrangement bears a striking resemblance to the iPhone's design. It’s a comparison that’s hard to ignore, particularly when the phone is presented in a vibrant orange colorway. The standard Honor 600 model tones down the resemblance slightly by omitting the Pro’s 3.5x telephoto lens, but the overall aesthetic is still very much in the same ballpark.

This isn't the first time Honor has flirted with an iPhone-inspired look. Last year’s Honor 500, which was unfortunately only released in Asia, also sported a design that many noted looked very similar to the iPhone Air. It appears Honor is doubling down on this aesthetic direction for its global releases.

Beyond the design, the Honor 600 series boasts some solid features. Both phones come with an IP69K water-resistance rating, which is a tougher standard than usual and indicates resilience against high-pressure water jets. They also feature 6.57-inch OLED displays and impressively large 6,400mAh batteries, suggesting good endurance for everyday use.

While the specific details on processors and other internal specifications are still emerging, the focus on design and battery life seems to be Honor's primary strategy for these new devices. It will be interesting to see how these phones perform in the market, especially given the strong visual cues they’re borrowing. For Android users looking for a device that echoes the iconic iPhone look, Honor might just have the answer.
