The Ikko MindOne Pro aims for a delightful, compact experience with its unique design and flip-up camera. However, despite its innovative features like a Clicks-style keyboard accessory, the device ultimately falls short.

The Ikko MindOne Pro is undeniably small, a delightful departure from the increasingly large smartphones dominating the market. While its screen is perfectly square, the phone itself sports a slightly rectangular form factor. A standout feature is its flip-up camera, ingeniously designed for both selfies and doubling as a stand or a makeshift PopSocket.

Adding to its modular appeal, an optional Clicks-style keyboard accessory is available, which also conveniently brings back a headphone jack and a magnetic ring. As a reviewer, I really wanted to like the MindOne Pro. I tried using it as a primary device, downloading a minimalist launcher to give it a 'dumb phone' feel. I attached the keyboard case, then removed it, experimenting with various configurations to see if I could make it work.

Unfortunately, no matter how I approached it, the Ikko MindOne Pro proved to be a miss. The compact design, while initially appealing, doesn't translate into a seamless user experience. The innovative features, though promising on paper, don't quite come together to create a compelling package. It seems that sometimes, even the most thoughtful concepts can struggle to find their footing in the practical world of everyday smartphone use.
