Robinhood has started a limited beta for Robinhood Social, a trading-focused social feed that lets users post about trades and execute orders from their timeline. The feature is rolling out to event attendees first, with wider testing to follow.

Robinhood has quietly begun beta testing a new social feature called Robinhood Social, a feed-based experience that echoes the look and feel of Twitter or Threads but centers on trading activity. The company originally revealed the idea at its HOOD Summit last September and is now inviting a small group of users to try it out.

According to Robinhood, the initial rollout goes to 1,000 people who attended the summit, with an additional 10,000 customers expected to gain access in the coming weeks. Early screenshots show typical social elements — profiles, posts, and a chronological feed — alongside finance-specific tools that let users share trade ideas and, notably, place trades directly from the feed.

During the beta, Robinhood plans to add more capabilities such as news feeds and expanded interaction options. The combination of social posting and transactional functionality aims to make market participation feel more communal, reducing friction between seeing an idea and acting on it. That said, the company will likely face scrutiny over how it handles impulsive trading behavior and the potential for echo chambers around specific assets.

For users, Robinhood Social could be a convenient hub: follow traders you find insightful, get quick market updates, and execute trades without leaving the app. For regulators and consumer advocates, it raises familiar questions about investor protection, clarity around paid promotions, and the line between social engagement and financial advice.

As access expands from the initial cohort, expect Robinhood to iterate quickly based on user feedback. If you’re one of the early testers, it will be worth watching which moderation tools and safeguards the company prioritizes as the feature moves toward a broader release.
