Tesla is facing another recall, this time for its highly anticipated Cybertruck. The specific models affected are the rear-wheel-drive Cybertruck Long Range variants. The issue at hand involves faulty brake rotors, which, according to a notice on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) website, could lead to the wheels detaching from the vehicle. Tesla stated that the stud holes in the brake rotors may crack, potentially causing the stud to separate from the wheel hub.

This recall impacts every single one of the 173 Cybertrucks sold by Tesla that were equipped with 18-inch steel wheels. The electric vehicle manufacturer has acknowledged three warranty claims that might be related to this problem. However, Tesla emphasized that it is not aware of any accidents, fatalities, or injuries stemming from this particular defect. This marks the eleventh recall for the Cybertruck since its introduction, highlighting ongoing challenges with the vehicle's production and quality control.

While the company is working to address the faulty components, this latest recall adds to a growing list of issues for the futuristic pickup truck. Valued at $70,000, the Cybertruck has generated significant buzz but also faced scrutiny over its development and reliability. It's a stark reminder that even the most innovative designs can encounter significant hurdles in real-world application and mass production. We'll be keeping an eye on how Tesla manages this latest recall and what further steps they take to ensure the safety and integrity of their flagship electric truck.
