The company is expected to cite clauses that allow amendments when suppliers’ costs change materially. Still, buyers are likely to push for clearer thresholds, notification windows and protections in contract negotiations.

Analysts note this is a symptom of broader supply-chain stress in the semiconductor market: when a few components dominate product cost, price transparency and contractual certainty become strained. For enterprises planning hardware refreshes, the message is to tighten procurement timelines, negotiate explicit protections and consider inventory hedging where feasible.
