Polished Wireless Speaker Impresses — But Lacks Bass

I tested a wireless speaker that nails connectivity and presents a pleasingly spacious soundstage, but one recurring question kept coming up: where’s the bass? On paper, the speaker ticks many of the boxes modern listeners care about — stable Bluetooth pairing, reliable multipoint support and a refined tonal balance that brings vocals and mids forward with graceful poise.

During critical listening sessions, the speaker revealed an impressively airy presentation. Instruments and voice sit in a well-defined stereo field, giving tracks room to breathe. For genres that favor clarity — acoustic, jazz, singer-songwriter — the result is engaging without shouting for attention. The treble is controlled, and the midrange has a natural, unforced character that’s pleasant for extended listening.

Yet when tracks demand low-end impact, the speaker shows its limits. Electronic beats, synth basslines and bass-heavy rock lack the weight and rumble you might expect from a wireless loudspeaker in this class. The bass is accurate in pitch but lean in amplitude; it’s a matter of taste if a tight, polite low end is preferable to a bold, room-shaking one.

For many users, the tradeoff might be acceptable. If you want a reliable everyday speaker that sounds refined at modest volumes and performs well in smaller rooms, this model has a lot to offer. Its build quality and connectivity make it a convenient choice for living-room stereo or desktop listening. But if your playlists live in the realm of hip-hop, EDM or bass-forward pop, you might feel disappointed.
